At Bluebells & Blossoms we continuously work on our setting environment.
Inspired by the 'Reggio Emilia' approach; neutral colours are enforced throughout to provide a calm and curiosity sparking space.
Reggio Emilia notes the importance of mirrors for light and reflection- we have mirrors dotted around our play rooms in a total of 5 areas including our free-flow learning garden.
We use natural resources to engage creative thinking and work on the opportunity of bringing the outdoors inside! We believe both indoor and outdoor learning should interlink and flow smoothly to provide a wider and more versatile learning environment.
As well as the environment being a crucial factor in supporting a child's development Reggio Emilia emphasises the importance of strong parent and community relationships. Our use of the Famly app provides a private parent community as well as regular updates on how your child's day is going. At Bluebells and Blossoms we strongly believe in maintaining a strong and personal relationship with parents/carers to provide the best foundation for your child to learn and grow during their time with us.
In terms of our wider community we love to visit and support our local parks, our library and play spaces. We never miss an opportunity to visit our local bakery too.
We carry out surveys with our families, have two setting scrapbooks and partake in regular training to ensure our environment is always up to the mark! It has been incredible to see the setting layout transform over the past three years.
